Makhana Ladoo Recipe

This is my 100th blog so I thought today I would share a sweet recipe.. That is Makhana Ladoo..

It is an extremely healthy and protein-rich ladoo dessert recipe prepared with lotus seeds, dry fruits and jaggery or dates. it is an excellent source of protein, nutrients and supplements, and hence it is typically prepared during the festival season or fasting season. it is typically prepared with a combination of lotus seeds or makhana seeds with different types of dry fruits and nuts.
Ladoo or Indian dessert recipes are purpose-based recipes that are mainly prepared for occasions and festivals.
But now a days you can do any sweets in any time.
For this recipe, I used dates. You wish to skip the dates you can add jaggery syrup ( take half cup jaggery and 1/4 cup water boil until jaggery melts. Then pour it to the makhana mixture to prepare the laddo).

INGREDIENTS:
Makes 15 ladoo
1 cup = 250ml

• 1 cup makhana / lotus seeds

• ½ cup almonds

• ½ cup cashew

• 1 cup dates(deseeded)

• 2 tbsp ghee

METHOD:

• Firstly, in a pan add ghee and take ½ cup almonds and ½ cup cashew, roast until the nuts turn crunchy. Keep it aside.

• In the same pan, add makhana and roast on low flame. Roast until the makhana turns crunchy.

• When all fried items cooled completely, grind nuts into a powder and then make makhana powder..transfer it to the vessel.

• Grind 1 cup dates without adding water. If you wish to skip the dates, you can add jaggery syrup ( take half cup jaggery and 1/4 cup water boil until jaggery melts. Then pour it to the makhana mixture to prepare the laddo).

• Add grounded dates to the makhana mixture.

• Mix well and make a dough and start preparing the ladoo.

• Finally, enjoy makhana ladoo for 2 weeks when stored in an airtight container.
