Paneer Paratha Recipe

 An indian flat bread recipe stuffed with grated cottage cheese, herbs, and a range of spice powders. These can be easily served for lunch and dinner, but not limited to try it out for breakfast. Typically, it is served with basic accompaniments like pickle, raita, or even a simple scoop of fresh creamy yogurt.

Paratha recipes have become an integral part of Indian cuisine for various reasons it has to offer. There are different types of paratha recipes across India but are mainly limited to vegetable-based stuffing. Yet there are exceptions to some popular ingredients and paneer paratha is one of them.



INGREDIENTS:
Make 10 parathas


for Paneer Stuffing:

• 200gms paneer, grated
• 1 tsp chilli powder
• 1 tsp garam masala powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp Kasuri methi

for dough:
• 2 cup wheat flour
•  1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tbsp sugar(optional)
• 1 cup water, for kneading

METHOD:
 
How to make paneer stuffing for paratha:

• Firstly, in a large bowl take grated paneer, add chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt.
• Mix well making sure everything is well combined. Paneer stuffing is ready, keep it aside.

How to make dough for paratha:

• Firstly, in a large bowl take wheat flour  salt and sugar  Mix well.
• Add water as required and start to knead.
• Knead to a smooth and soft dough adding water as required.
• Grease oil and rest for 30 minutes.

How to make Paneer Paratha:

• After the dough has rested for 30 minutes, knead slightly.
• Now pinch a ball-sized dough and roll about 4 inches in diameter.
• Add 2 tsp prepared paneer stuffing in the centre.
• Take the edge and start pleating bringing it to the centre.
• Also, join the pleats together and secure tight pinching off excess dough.
• Sprinkle some wheat flour and roll slightly thick.
• On a hot tawa place the rolled paratha and cook for a minute.
• Furthermore, flip the paratha when the base is partly cooked (after a minute).
• Also, brush oil/ghee and press slightly. Flip again once or twice till both sides are cooked properly.
• Finally, serve hot Paneer paratha with curd and pickle.
