Veg Pulao Recipe

 An easy and simple flavoured rice recipe made with long-grain rice, a choice of vegetables, and fresh herbs. It is one of the popular rice variants or choices for many Indians and is often served for lunch and dinner.  The simple pulao recipes do not contain all the required flavour and spice and can be served as it is, but they taste great when served with simple yoghurt raita or curd.
Rice-based recipes are an integral part of Indian cuisine and are made for different reasons. Each and every state have its own unique variants made with rice, but the pulao recipe is common across India. It can be made with different types of ingredients, herbs, and spices, but today, I am sharing a basic and simple vegetable pulao recipe. Here, adding vegetables is open-ended, and you can add them as per your preference.

Ingredients:
  

• 1 handful  of coriander leaves

• 1 inch ginger

• 5 clove garlic

• 2  green chilli

• 2 pod cardamom

• 1 inch cinnamon

• 3 cloves

• 2 tbsp ghee

• 2 bay leaf

• Few cashew, halves

• 1 onion, chopped

• 15 beans, chopped

• 1 cup Green peas(soaked)

• 1 carrot, chopped

• 1 tsp salt

• 3cup water

• 1 cup rice

• 3 handful grated coconut

• 1/2 lemon


METHOD:

 
• firstly, in a mixi take coriander, ginger, garlic,chilli, cardamom,  cinnamon, cloves and grated coconut. Grind to a smooth paste. Keep it aside.

• In a cooker heat  ghee and coconut oil.  Add 1 bay leaf, 1 inch cinnamon, handful cashew and now add onion and saute until the colour changes slightly.

• further, add chopped carrot, beans and soaked green peas. Then add grounded masala and salt saute for a minute then add 3 cup water.(1cup rice=3 cup water).here I took a sona masoori rice you can take basmati too. Then add lemon juice.

• Close the lid and make 3 whistles.

• After cool down the cooker, add coriander leaves and mix well.veg pulao is ready to serve.
